Lance Campbell, Pharm.D., R.Ph.

Dr. Campbell is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. While attending pharmacy school he developed a passion for compounding that no other area of pharmacy provided. He realized that compounding was on the cutting edge of pharmacy and could provide his patients with many more alternatives to improve their quality of life. He became associated with Professional Compounding Centers of America while in school and decided that a career in compounding was what he desired. After working for several compounding pharmacies, Dr. Campbell opened Campbell’s Compounding in the Rice Village area. He specializes in "Bio-Identical" hormone replacement and pain management primarily, but also deals with many other areas including cosmetic surgery, pediatrics, dermatology, and veterinary to name a few! Dr. Campbell does private hormone consultations as well as group presentations upon request. He is dedicated to providing a level of care and service to his patients that is unmatched in the Houston area! Lisa Varghese, Pharm.D., R.Ph.

Dr. Lisa Varghese is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. While in school she did a rotation with Dr. Campbell and learned all about compounding. After she graduated Lisa took a position with a retail pharmacy. After a year with that pharmacy Dr. Campbell approached her about a new and exciting opportunity. He was looking for someone to manage his second location in Sugar Land and thought she would be a perfect fit. Lisa has always been extremely friendly and always treats patients like family. She will be getting married this coming year and is juggling the responsibilities of planning a wedding and running a new pharmacy. However, I guarantee you when you see her at the pharmacy there will not be an ounce of stress on her face...she is just that good! Michael Campbell, Certified Pharmacy Technician

Michael Campbell is Dr. Lance Campbell’s younger brother. We can’t really use the phrase "little brother" since Michael stands 6' 6" tall! Michael was asked to become part of the Campbell’s Compounding crew in 2007 and has been a great addition! He brings a lot of energy and humor to the group. Feel free to come by and meet the newest member of Campbell’s Compounding!

Elvin Barao, Pharm.D. Candidate, CPhT

Elvin Barao has been our head pharmacy technician since September of 2004. Besides already having a Masters degree in Animal Science from Baylor University he has just been accepted to the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Elvin will be graduating with his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2010 and Dr. Campbell is looking forward to bringing him back to work as a pharmacist instead of a technician. We will miss Elvin at the pharmacy, but I am sure he will be able to find enough studying to keep him busy!

Lina Karvelsson, Pharmacy Clerk

Lina is Dr. Campbell’s mother-in-law and offers a lot of experience to the group. Lina worked in a compounding pharmacy in Iceland as a teenager. She then went on to become a professional hand ball player in Europe before she met her husband. She and Oggie moved to the United States and she eventually ended up working in a Family Practice physician’s office in Georgia. She ran that office for many years and was responsible for giving injections, drawing blood, keeping records and generally keeping everything in order. Lina is one of the sweetest people you will come in contact with and would be more than happy to help you with your prescriptions. Come by and meet the Viking at Campbell’s Compounding Pharmacy!

Sonal Thakur, RPh

Sonal Thakur is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Pharmacy School. She went on to work in several areas of pharmacy including retail and long term care before moving to Texas with her husband and starting a family. Dr. Campbell met Sonal’s husband, Dr. Raj Thakur, at a Texans game and was talking shop when he mentioned that his lovely wife would love to work in a compounding pharmacy setting but didn’t really know anyone in that field. Sonal came by the pharmacy and introduced herself and the rest is history. Her incredible personality and knowledge base impressed Dr. Campbell very much and she began working with Campbell’s Compounding the next week. Sonal’s energy is contagious and brings a smile to everyone that walks in the door! We are very happy to have a pharmacist of her caliber working with us!

Brent Harris, Director of Marketing

Brent Harris moved from Texas to Pennsylvania to attend college and play for the Rider University soccer team. While at Rider he realized that International finance was not the correct career path for him. Brent transferred to Temple University the next year where he found he had a passion for speech and communications in the business realm. While at Temple, Brent became a distinguished member of the American Marketing Society where he gave speeches to further hone his skills. Brent received his degree in 2004 and was one of the first graduates from Temple with a degree in Stategic Organizational Communication.
Brent has used his education to become a very effective marketing professional. He realizes that it is not about "the sale", but rather about the relationships that are developed along the way. Brent moved back to Texas in 2007 to help his cousin, Dr. Lance Campbell, develop "the most successful compounding pharmacy in Texas"! This was a challenge that Brent couldn’t pass up. Campbell’s Compounding is excited to have Brent on its staff!
